About QBY

Our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all individuals, regardless of races, gender, sexuality, or ability, feel seen, celebrated, and empowered.

Through mindful yoga and meditation practices, we honor the diverse needs of each person, adapting our approach to ensure a safe and nurturing space for all. We embrace embodiment as a powerful tool for self-acceptance and healing, fostering a deep connection with the body. We also celebrate the journey of aging gracefully, supporting individuals in maintaining vitality, strength, and balance throughout all stages of life.

At QBY, we are committed to helping you feel whole, grounded, and radiant, no matter where you are on your path.

Welcome to Queer Body Yoga, where every body is a queer body! Each body is unique, and every yoga pose, exercise, or movement is an invitation to explore the harmony of mind, body, and spirit.

I began my yoga journey in 2022 at the recommendation of my meditation teacher to deepen my practice, and quickly found yoga to be essential for my physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

As a queer and transman, my body often felt like the enemy, but through these practices I have found deep acceptance and happiness with who I am.

I started Queer Body Yoga (QBY) to help everyone feel comfortable and confident in their bodies, and foster an inclusive environment for all. The yoga studio or gym is not the right fit for everyone. Too many people, too many mirrors, too much noise, too little noise, too many smells, or a lack of individual attention and customization can leave people feeling left out or unseen. By providing private and virtual options I can tailor each session to your needs.

I have competed teacher trainings in vinyasa, yin, yoga nidra, and trauma-informed meditation instruction. I am also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and have a Behavior Change Specialist certification. I’m currently pursuing an M.S. in Sports and Health Sciences with an emphasis in Health and Human Performance.
